‘Solitude’ is a series of photographs exploring the industrial landscape of Birmingham using the city’s canal paths. No longer used for industrial purposes, the canals feel empty and desolate. The isolated factory buildings and structures that exist in these areas create the feeling of an alien landscape. The mixture of new and old architecture and industry shows change, continuity and adaptability of the city.
