Dorte Verner, is the Climate Coordinator and Senior Economist in the World Bank. She has edited and written and number of books on development, poverty reduction and climate change. the most recent book is: "Adaptation to a Changing Climate in the Arab Countries. She has worked in Latin America and the Caribbean, Africa and the Middle East Before she joined the World Bank, she worked in the OECD Development Center, and as a researcher at the European University Institute in Florence, Sorbonne in Paris, and University of Aarhus, Denmark. She holds a PhD in Macroeconomics and Econometrics from the European University Institute, Italy
