We introduce the Bald Eagle with a children’s story about a juvenile bald eagle afraid to get wet and to learn how to swim. The color pictures of the Bald Eagle show this “majestic bird” in detail that would be hard to describe in such few words. Accompanying the photo essay is a non-fiction narration describing our observed behaviors.

We introduce some of the Bald Eagle’s fascinating water behaviors based on scientific research, one time observations, “word of mouth” from generation-to-generation, jokes, or a combination of all the above. We love observing this magnificent wild and free-ranging animal in its habitat on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada.
