Gone but not forgotten are the days of the first Klondike Gold Rush in the late 1890s, where prospecting was done with little more than the boots on your feet and the gold pan in your hands. Today prospectors are (mostly) clean shaven, computer savvy, and rely on a helicopter more than on a gold pan. But like the original Klondike Gold Rush hordes, they still represent an international cross section of workers all driven by the prospect of one thing: that “there’s gold in them hills!”
