My grandparents managed a summer camp in the Colorado Rocky Mountains. Attending camp every year saved me from the confines of suburban Dallas life and increased my courage, strength and sense of adventure, essentially activating my Artemis nature for the rest of my life. In this book, I have used photographs of my camp experience and words from old camp songs.
