Merimbula is located on the southern NSW coast of Australia, approximately halfway by car, between Sydney and Melbourne.
This portion of the coast is referred to as the Sapphire Coast. indeed it is a jewel - and the colours of the region are sapphire, turquoise, cream and rust.
