Since 1996 JoseV worked as a Telemetry Technician where he first learned about rhythms of the heart. While at work (2006) JoseV witnessed a patient’s rhythms become deadly. The patient passed away despite all efforts of the physicians and staff. This unfortunate event made JoseV think about what was going through this patient’s mind as the doctors and staff fought to save his life. The result was the drawing that JoseV calls “Slow death.” This traditional valentine heart if shaped with electro-cardiographic rhythms. The series of heads surrounding the heart demonstrate his struggle from life to death. Art had been a long desired passion for JoseV, but he had never pursued it until now.
