Transmuteo is the audiovisual, multimedia project of Jonathan Dean along with various collaborators. The project encompasses music, video, digital art, live performance, site-specific installation and experimental social networking. The audio utilizes samples, environmental sounds, cassette tapes, effects pedals, synths and analog drone to create dense, textural, psychedelic music that revels in the shining artifice of the future. The project began in early 2011, playing several live shows in Florida. The first physical manifestation of the project was released on July 15th of 2011, a tape entitled Cymaglyphs on the Rotifer Cassettes label. Dreamsphere Megamix was released on 2/22/2012. A split cassette (with 400 Lonely Things), a split vinyl (with Duck Dive), and a vinyl album are all due in 2012. The Atlantean Starseeds of Transmuteo are currently based in New Orleans.
