A cute little leaf on a Magnolia tree next to The Menil Collection caught my eye, so perfect was its shape. I returned to it day after day, my pet leaf, seeing it in different light, in changing weather. And then one day, a wind storm, and the limbs scraping together caught the little leaf by surprise and plucked him from his branch. A few brief moments of the leaf's existence are recorded here.
