Knot Illusions ™ is a series of photographs of tree knots - nature's unique artwork. These images and the illusions you may see are the result of natural shapes and your personal interpretation. No editing of the images has taken place. They remain as they were discovered in our environment.



The galls, knots, and burls appearing on the trees are born from injury and sickness. In the process of healing - as in humanity - the tree covers its wounds with scars which create shapes and figures.



It is my desire that this collection of images will provide the experience of finding your interpretations within Nature’s curiously shaped knots and protrusions, as you discover Knot Illusions™.
