Today terms like sustainability, green economy and smart growth have become part of the popular lexicon. This increased consciousness should ostensibly herald a new paradigm with regard to public spaces fundamentals of urban form. Such growing awareness, coupled with flourishing urbanization, demands designers and planners re-examine proven schemas of place-making, as well as, novel visioning to address the challenges this societal and material circumstances stipulate.
