Formally dedicated October 31, 1913, the Lincoln Highway was the first automobile road across America. Spanning from Times Square in New York City to Lincoln Park in San Francisco, it brought great prosperity to the hundreds of cities and towns along its way, and became known affectionately known as "America's Main Street."
