Having explored various aspects of photography, such as fashion, advertising and art photography, Ferdinand de Lesseps had a strong desire to create a photographic work on icebergs to capture the timeless grandeur of the icebergs with a heightened sense of abstraction. These photographs were taken in Greenland at Disco Bay north of the polar Circle.
