Über das Buch
This portfolio aims to document the work and processes that I have undertaken over the last two years, while studying towards my Diploma in Architecture.
Having previously achieved a 2:1 degree in architecture at the University of Portsmouth in 2007, I returned to continue my studies in 2009 following two years of work experience and travel.
Working as a Part 1 Architectural Assistant as John Kirk Wilson Ltd. I spent 18months involved with a wide range of projects which focused on the private residential sector and small commercial builds.
This experience, in a relatively small practice, allowed an in depth interaction with the planning process, live projects, surveying, client meetings, professional relationships, on site inspections and construction schedules.
Following this work experience I spent 4 months travelling throughout South-East Asia and Australia; experiencing and learning about alternative cultures, people and ways of life. This process was inspiring and fuelled my ongoing interest in travel and learning.
I hope that this portfolio encompasses and showcases my passions for architecture, people and experience.
