There is a very prolific Magnolia tree in my front yard. At one point I was considering up rooting it to plant a different species aiming for balance. However, this Spring, I was drawn to the flower size as I pulled into my driveway. The neighborhood was still asleep, the sun, sometimes, early morning rain drops drenched these flowers in splendor. As I walked around, bent down and slowly pulled brances down a wee bit to capture that sun or provide shade, I found my self captured. My fingers snapped the shutter release over and over. I became addicted to these magnificent Magnolia's. I couldn't get enough. Their perfume tickled my nose, so much so that when I envision a Magnolia in bloom, I am instantly transported to those spring mornings. I can still smell them.

Needless to say, I won't up root my Magnolia tree. I will simply add to my yard, only to hope and pray I'm given another flower as eloquent as my Magnolia's.
