Welcome to Southern Pacific Forever's 11th book. Our main effort is to present & preserve the past of the railroad. The highlight to this volume is a 75 page look at the art of the railroad seen during the mid 90's in Sacramento's railyards, most of which have been purged into UP's refurbished Roseville Yard about 20 minutes outside of California's capitol. Thanks in the most part to Wyze of END for contributing his box of more than 10 year old negatives to be used within the section, you will get a good idea of who and what has influenced the western freight scene.

In addition to the usual benching and the afore mentioned sections, this volume's Artist Highlight takes a look into the work of Canadian artist, KELS. His wild abstraction of letters combined with his Russian heritage make for an electric 35 pages of color and movement. Even if readable and simple is your thing, it's hard to not gasp at the power of his work. But that's for you to judge and be impressed by.

Flickr's own 208 Bench, was kind enough to lend SPF his photos and with them, a new railroad was created; The Idaho & Eastern Oregon Railway (The Interchange). Ladden with reefers, this section encompasses sketchbook-like surfaces with rich colors and amazing yardscapes. This newly formed railroad may not create new jobs, but it will create an occupation of the mind. Filled with the reality that one's dream of a land of reefers is reality and may stimulate the economy as rail enthusiasts will engage in road trips to seek out this magical railroad.
