Wicken Fen is one of Britains oldest nature reserves and the first to be aquired by the National Trust who purchased two acres in 1899 for £10,000. The reserve has expanded over the years to present day of 900 acres.



This book of illustrations shows a few of the people who have worked to conserve and care for Wicken Fen in the past. Many people now are volunteers who continue to preserve this important nature reserve.
