Stefan Evans studied BDes (Design) at Liverpool Hope University. This photographic Journal was created as an accompaniment to his degree show.



Stefan draws upon imagery from his homeland of North Wales, both structural and organic; fusing the two through collage. The outcomes boast bold imagery against subtle natural tones. This rustic, folkloric feel is atmospheric with a dark edge.



For his Ceramic work Stefan has produced a collection of vessels varying in size and shape. One set reference the structures of industrial forms while another set possess an organic quality; each with complementing graphics.



In the Textiles body of work, Stefan has created three sizable wall hangings. Sitting hand in hand with the Ceramic work they also fuse the man made and the natural. An extension and development of the initial collage's, the pieces are layered with digital prints, a dye wash and mixed media mark-making on cotton canvas.
