This is the original edition that has only 150 hard cover copies (and 150 soft cover copies) and hence the "a bit over the curve" price. With the added images (that are not in previous editions) it becomes a valuable collector's item. Only a few are available as of July 2016 !
"I Am Amerikan" is a personal compilation of about 150 images that were taken between 2001-2009 by Rafael Fuchs while traveling in the USA. ("in between assignments.")
You might call it "The B side" of his work in those years ; his personal observations.
In this 5th. edition you'll find about 35 images that are NOT included in the past editions, including some "challenging" images (that weren't allowed to be printed by the same printers of Blurb who re-considered it after all.)
Amongst the additional images you'll find wicked portraits of John McCain and Geraldo Rivera, as well as some personal images by the author, never published before.
