I retired in 2006 at age 56 after 31 years as a trial attorney. Since then, my wife and I have been sailing in the Mediterranean Sea for about eight months a years. I now favor bare feet even over boat shoes. When not sailing, we live in Knoxville, Tennessee. We have two grown sons. I grew up in Ohio, went to seminary and law school in Louisville, and lived in Washington, D.C. for 11 years before moving to Knoxville in 1986.
