Taking photos at night is difficult. It almost always involves compromise of one sort or another. Techical imperfections are obvious in some of the images collected here. But I hope that these images convey something of my continued excitement about the world at night.



These photos were taken in Leeds with a variety of digital cameras but without the use of a tripod. On some of my excursions I have been accompanied by Alex, Griff, Gabi and others. My thanks to all my nocturnal companions
