We enjoyed a long overdue trip to Chile, the place where my husband's family fled after the 1973 Coup'detat. Staying in Santiago, we went out on adventures each day; west to the coast, north to the Aconcagua wine region; south to the Maipo Valley vineyards and estates, and west to the mountains and glaciers. And we had several reminders of that time, decades ago, when thousands disappeared.
