"Before the curtain goes up" is a documentary book showing photographs of actors while they are preparing themselves for the performance. The book contains a series of photographs taken during stage preparation,backstage,during acting,music and dance rehearsals and in the dressing room. The photographs were taken in the Royalty Theatre in Sunderland.
