Miriam Wagenhals loved God, her family, her friends and life. Her gift of being able to express those feelings with the written word as poetry is before you in the remaining pages. Only a person who truly loved life could express it well as in "LOVING THOUGHTS". Too, her wit and candor shows in the "LIFE'S LESSONS " pages with some humor and light hearted expressions and then some serious thought provoking poems that will make you think and reflect. The pages "TO THE GLORY OF GOD" echo our mother's true love of God and her faith in his loving presence. Her compassion and feelings for the sorrow, hurt, and uncertainties felt by others is shown in "REFLECTIONS" as many of the pieces there were tributes to those who were going or called away.
Her husband Joseph and three sons Joe, Jerry and John were the love and purpose she exhibited throughout her life. Mother kept and shared her poems with others by writing some as tribute to friends who were sick, moving away or retiring and for those who lost loved ones.
My gift to my mother is to offer her poems with the God given talent I have received in the photographs that accompany mother's thoughts.
