Heavy snow does not fall too often in Tilston (Cheshire, England). During the winter of 2009 - 2010 with the whole of the UK firmly in the grip of The Big Freeze, compared to the rest of the country the snow arrived late in the village. Throughout December, while the most of the UK seemed to be blanketed in snow, there had only been the odd flurry. High hopes of a white Christmas were dashed and it was not until into the new year that the snow finally fell on Tilston.



This book is a collection of photographs taken in and around Tilston during The Big Freeze, after the heaviest snowfall the village had experienced for a good number of years.
