Richard De Soto is a seasoned executive with startup CEO, senior marketing and sales experience at leading top-tier public companies, such as Nortel Networks, Extreme Networks and successful startups in Application Acceleration, Mobile convergence, VoIP, and Security markets. He has built successful businesses driving significant increased revenues, successful IPO’s and successful startup acquisitions. In the area of startups, De Soto’s track record includes two IPO’s and two acquisitions ranging up to $440 million. De Soto is currently VP of Worldwide Marketing and Sales for Coyote Point Systems, the SME leader in applicaton load balancing. He also paints abstracts, writes children's books, travels widely and is an avid gardener. He is related to Gary Soto, who is also known widely for his childrens books and poetry and was recognized as a US poet laureate. De Soto's wife, Chantal,a psychotherapist, is the daughter of Gerard DeBreu, winner of the Nobel Economics Prize in 1988
