predilection is a collection of photographs compiled by madelyn sullivan and lee colon, during the fall of 2007 at bowdoin college. the images the photographers chose for this book have been extracted from over 8,000 photographs combined. this project was sparked by the personal experiences both madelyn and lee had while traveling respectively in south america and india. while all of the images can stand on their own, they are deliberately paired together to create formal, conceptual, and emotional comparisons. these comparisons serve to enhance the subjective experience of the photographers and viewers, while exploring how these personal experiences might be shared.
