This is a book depicts my grandfather, George R Bird, who served our country (U.S.A.) from 1943-1946 in World War II. He was willing to sacrifice his time, talents, and even life if necessary for the good of our country.



He believed in the freedom of all mankind. George left his beautiful wife and new born son, Leland, to serve in the war. When he returned home in 1946, his son that had just been born was not almost 3!



Thanks to him and so many others like him over the course of our nation's history, and for keeping us safe from harms way. God bless America!
