I go to the beach and either remember that

experience in the water and do a quick

drawing when I get home or sit on the beach

and draw figures and other surfers. But it’s

utilizing being at the beach, going surfing

rather than saying, okay. I am going to go

somewhere and draw the beach. It’s a fact

that I am there, I am enjoying it. Basically

every week I go there, surfing. I go up the

coast regularly and usually the same places.5
