Guilherme Maranhão (Rio de Janeiro, RJ, 1975) lives in São Paulo since 1985. His research in photography is centered on alterations to image forming processes and subversions on tools made by the industry. Individual shows at Itaú Cultural, Gallery 44 in Toronto and at Ateliê da Imagem, in Rio de Janeiro. Also participated in group shows at IVAM in Valencia, at Galeria Olido and Kitchener Waterloo Art Gallery among others. In 2007 received the award Prêmio Porto Seguro de Fotografia. His works feature in the São Paulo’s Modern Art Museum’s collection, MAM-SP and in private collections.
