Real Deal is a collection of photographic portraits by Liz Mott. They are of many of the great faces and personalities who make up the community in and around the East Kent town of Deal. Real people, real faces in sepia tones. A snapshot creating a timeless archive using 80 portraits, some studio based, some locational.



It is a celebration of an ancient and modern community, depicting youth and age and including relative new-comers and old "Dealites" who make this the vibrant place that it is: "Real Deal". The town is full of, and draws to it, many talented, fun and community-minded people. Some are world renowned and include artists, writers, actors, photographers, singers, musicians, crafts people, fishermen, ex-miners, tradesmen, shopkeepers, community workers as well as the not-so-ordinary 'man in the street', plus some well recognised pets!
