Dévoré la Haute Couture



Devoured High Fashion is the translation for the title. This book is based on my concept of bizarre fashion and fine art portraiture. The individuals in the photos are presented as members of “The Spoiled Bastard Society.” I wanted their snobby, edgy, ambiguous fashion to represent their attitudes and the type of persons they are. Some of the members of this society aren’t always a “bastard type” but are more somber and innocent, even though their outfit contradicts that feeling. I wanted them to be seen in harsh light with a dark and almost sinister mood. These people have been so devoured by their personal style that they become their clothes. In their most selfish attempt to showoff, their portraits have been taken.
