"Accidentally Abstract" is the show catalog for Steve Geer's December 2026 exhibition at Perspective Gallery in Evanston, Illinois. The photo series consists of photographed scenes and/or objects in the real world that are not abstract by design but are accidentally abstract. The resulting images are abstract in the sense that their colors, shapes and textures create an emotional response. The real-world subjects in these photographs are unimportant and may not even be identifiable.
