Peru is a dynamic country at the crossroads of a rich ancient history and the modern world. The remains of it's Incan past can be seen from Lima to Cusco while the pre-Columbian Moche, Sicán, and Chimú kingdoms have left many ruins near Trujillo the second largest city in Peru and formerly the modern capitol of the country.



The photographs in this book were taken the last half of October 2009. Most of the trip was dedicated to working with Al Furey and several churches in Lima and Trujillo conducting pastor's and leader's conferences and nightly crusades open to the public. I also spent a week in Cusco exploring the Sacred Valley including Machu Picchu.

I started my career as a commercial photographer in 1978 and spent 14 years creating images for commercial and publishing needs. Then the computer revolution started and I discovered abilities in designing and implementing database and software systems. This lead to a 25 year career as a database administrator (DBA) and solutions architect. Through the career change I never lost my love for photography and creating images of the world I traveled with my wife Pat. In 2008 I was able to retire and devote full time to church missions and photography. In 2009 & 09 I traveled to the Ukraine, Maui, Cuba, and Peru preaching and teaching about Jesus Christ and creating stunning images of natural landscapes and the workings of the Holy Spirit in the lives of the people involved in missionary outreach. Unfortunately 2008 also saw my wife of 30 years, Pat, die in April. My photography is dedicated to her memory and her never ending encouragement to living the dream.
