Becoming is the second issue in an ongoing photographic series exploring the people, routines, and stories behind the work.

Issue 002 follows San Antonio artist Albert Gonzales inside his studio, where art, family, community, and personal history intersect. Through black-and-white film photographs and excerpts from conversation, the story looks beyond the finished paintings to the person and philosophy behind them, his influences, his relationship with color, and the continual process of becoming.
