For Sophia, cyanotype is both process and lifeline. In times of instability, it provides structure—a ritual of coating paper, composing materials, exposing to light, and patiently waiting that anchors her in the present. Even after sunset, the work persists: in her basement darkroom, improvised with a plant light for controlled exposures, embodying the determination to create amid constraints.
