Über das Buch
OPEN HOUSE is a photographic magazine centered around two sites in Chicago: the David Rubenstein Forum and Graceland Cemetery. Photographed collaboratively by Matthew Garza and Ozzy Gámez, the project moves between these contrasting environments to examine how architecture and landscape carry meaning, atmosphere, and memory. From the Forum’s sharp modern surfaces and expansive views to the cemetery’s monumental stillness and layered history, the magazine considers how space can feel both public and intimate, structured and haunting. Together, these two sites offer a way of looking at Chicago through contrast, form, and presence.
