Über das Buch
A travel diary during a two-week trip in the Occupied Palestinian Territories (West Bank) in October 2022, exposes daily life challenges for Palestinians under occupation, where the mundane becomes extraordinary, and systemic discrimination and violence become normalised: death by a thousand cuts. And yet paradoxically a society of extraordinary warmth, resilience and vitality persists. The trip uncovers the vast gap between how this reality is experienced on the ground and how it is perceived- or ignored - by the Western World. This book attempts to bridge that gap. The most political act that one can perform here is simply to show up, bear witness and refuse to look away.
