Über das Buch
Some memories never leave us. Some feelings return again and again—like recurring dreams.
In this deeply personal collection, poet Mark Gammill explores the quiet places of the heart where love, loss, and faith live side by side.
Written over the course of twenty years, these poems reflect the moments that shape us: the joy of love, the ache and pain of absence and loss, and the enduring hope that redemption and healing are within reach. Though many of the poems carry a somber and reflective tone, they are not without light. Threaded throughout the verses are themes of faith, hope, and the resilience of the human spirit. Each poem is paired with a thoughtfully chosen image, creating a visual and emotional experience that invites readers to pause, reflect, and discover their own meaning within the words.
Written in Visalia, California, these poems are drawn from real emotions and lived experiences—honest reflections that remind us we are never alone in the things we feel most deeply.

Über den Autor
Mark Gammill is a poet based in Visalia, California. He was deeply influenced by the confessional poets of the twentieth century. From the outset, his work began exploring the intimate terrains of love, longing, and loss with an unwavering commitment to the personal over the purely observational. By his early twenties, Mark had written dozens of poems centered on lost love—pieces that would later serve as the foundation for his debut collection, Recurring Dreams. Over time, his creative vision broadened, drawing inspiration from art, cinema, and, above all, lived experience. In recent years, he has begun pairing his poetry with his own visual artwork, creating a more immersive experience for his readers. Recurring Dreams brings together more than 20 years of writing, weaving past & present into a cohesive meditation on memory, reflection & emotional truth. It is, at its heart, an invitation to remember, to feel deeply & perhaps to discover a little of your own story within its pages.
