Ben Korman served in the U.S. Army Infantry for six years as a machine-gunner. From 2020-2021, he was deployed to the Horn of Africa as a part of Operation Enduring Freedom. In this, his debut collection of poetry, Korman aims to make amends with his own memories of that time, as well as how those events have continued to haunt him in the time since.
