The photo book City and Contrast describes the city of Warsaw through unusual images. The author - designer, teacher and photographer - shares with the viewer the surprising fragmentary impressions of Warsaw in its contradictions, the traces of its history and departure. The experience of the city as a viewer without prior knowledge was characterised by the many contrasts that Warsaw offers.
City and contrast are connecting elements of the photographic impressions, which - partly contrasted - are published without comment, so that their visual effect remains interpretable.
