In her second artist’s book, Lisa Rawlinson weaves together the various threads of her practices into something different, something new. Without giving too much away—because with each page turn there is a build and a reveal—the back cover sums up the experience:

“This is not a children’s book, BUT
It is for anyone who still remembers
Or perhaps needs to remember
That feeling
Of an unadulterated imagination
That isn’t actually imaginary, BUT
What is it?
What is the point?

Some say
It’s an art book
Poetry
A weird cookbook
An activity book, because
You can draw in it
(Acid-free ink recommended)

Some say.
It’s baloney
It’s magic, and

They say a lot of things.
It’s all coming from inside…”

This book includes interactive pages and can accommodate a variety of media including writing pens, pencil, colored pencils, and artist-quality markers. Sharpies and water-based media (such as watercolor) are not recommended.
