Alfonso Herrera-Neal is a UK-based independent scholar, writer, and photographer whose work focuses on the lives of working people, the places they inhabit, and the preservation of working-class memories. In 2023, he co-directed indiVISIBLE (Massachusetts Foundation for the Humanities), an oral history and photographic project that unveiled the hidden labour of immigrant and migrant farmworkers in Franklin County, Western Massachusetts. Exhibited at Greenfield Community College and The LAVA Centre, the project paired testimony with imagery to reveal both the skill behind the food chain and the human cost of separation and sacrifice. His work as a journalist has earned him multiple honours. He has taught courses in Latin American Studies, Labour Law, Conflict Resolution, and Community Leadership. Alfonso continues to explore the intersections of history, labour, and everyday life — blending scholarship and artistry with empathy, rigour, and an enduring respect for others' stories
