This book started as a photographic project around 2013 and was completed in 2021. The photographs are candid shots taken in coastal areas. Hopefully, the images will evoke memories and dreams of the coast in the viewer and perhaps even the smell of the sea.

Alan has been photographing the world around him since the 1970's. Alan has broad photographic interest and shoots mainly candid shots, but sometimes loses himself in a landscape. In his candid photographs, Alan is exploring the relationship between people and place. Alan hopes to evoke emotions, ideas and thought in his viewers. Alan retired at the end of 2015 and is enjoying developing his photographic language whilst being a very bust grandparent.
