This is a collection of images taken in 1985, using film of different types and formats from 35mm, medium (120) and large format (4×5). I visited the Point Loma tide pools over the months during late Spring and Summer. I was inspired by the shapes of the rocks with their sharp edges, the cliffs with ruts eroded by wind, water and wind, the smooth shapes of kelp and tidal stones that were made smooth by the waves, the textures of the driftwood. All of these things and how they all have a certain interrelationship, with textures from each of the subjects.
