I got involved in photography in the summer of 1985. I was captivated by the Arizona sunsets, I set out with my 110 camera every evening that summer and captured the beauty that Arizona sunsets so freely offered. The shapes and patterns that I saw was like candy for me. Many years later, I purchased my first digital SLR. I did not receive formal training on photography until my collegiate years at Eastern Washington University. While attending a photo class, we learned the many facets of the darkroom, and digital photography. My work is mostly landscape; I have fallen in love with shapes and lines. It is interesting for me to document how the world looks through my camera eye. Cities and old, crumbling buildings fascinate me. I truly enjoy adorning my camera(s) and going for a walk, capturing these images. I especially like capturing people in life amidst the shapes and landscapes that surround them. In my work, I like to address the everyday beauty of life.
