Comenius has two main objectives:
to develop knowledge and understanding among young people and education staff of the diversity of European cultures and languages, and the value of this diversity
to help young people to acquire basic life skills and competences for their personal development, for future employment and for active European citizenship

Employability
Students participating in Comenius gain the soft skills that employers are looking for. By collaborating with students in their own college and with those in other countries on partnership projects, they build their communication, decision making and problem solving skills. At the end of a project, more than 70 percent of students have improved their social skills and ability to work in teams.
