Pencil, pen and watercolor are his arsenal, but Pete has been dragged kicking and screaming into the 21st century and his trusty tool set has been lately joined by Ye Olde Digital Magicks using the versatile open-source image manipulation program GIMP and Corel Painter.

On the one hand I have utilized a photo-realistic style for illustration and specimen work.

On the other, my more fantastical pieces often emerge from random lines thrown across a page, a purer, more intuitive approach to creativity.

Both emerge from my left hand.

Says Pete about his fascinating and hectic day job: “People need to eat. I make sure they eat well.”
