After I retired from singing with Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra, my husband and I moved to a small Greek island named Ikaria. Living here for a decade is a 'little' different for me as one may imagine.

However, I discovered this is not a normal place. The people live by an unspoken code.

As I read Greek philosophers such as Socrates, Plato, Epicurus, etc., I realized that the Ikarian people 'live' the 2000+ year old concepts of the philosophers.

I then decided to take 5 years shoot hundreds of photos to pay respect to the people, traditions, and atmosphere of the island. My photography/quotes book is published to share the calm, sane secrets of this island which was chosen as the 5th Blue Zone in the world. This honor is bestowed to places with long living people and healthy lifestyles.

Hopefully, my book will enable you to sense and discover the inhabitants’ uniqueness that sets them apart from other Greeks.
