M. Sayibu is a novelist, screenwriter and story developer who writes dark, character-driven fiction about the masks people wear and what lies beneath them.

Before turning to novels, Sayibu spent years developing feature films and serialized television, including the released feature The B.A.T.U. Project: Adam the First. That screen background shows in the writing: tightly structured stories, cinematic pacing, and twists set up long before they land. Sayibu is also the founder of the Upper North International Film Festival.

The First Crane opens the Albus Crane series, which follows a celebrated Los Angeles psychologist who helps the police catch killers while hiding the fact that he is one.
